1. What is AIS (Account Information Services)?

1. What is AIS (Account Information Services)?

AIS under PSD2 is account overview of all completed transactions (historical data).

It allows businesses to see all their financial data in one place by connecting their bank accounts to ZTL.

What accounts are supported in AIS?

Supported Account Types: All standard accounts visible in online net bank are included, such as:

    •    Operating accounts

    •    Tax accounts

    •    Savings accounts

    •    Card accounts

Note: This may vary per bank.

Benefits of AIS in PSD2 is

  1. Real time balance
  2. Real time status for transactions

Historical transactions:

  • PSUs can fetch historical data as far back in time as two to three years (limit varies per bank)
  • Note for Norway only: TietoEvry banks requires a fresh consent (not older than one hour) if PSU wants to fetch transactions older than 90 days

What transactions does AIS include?

The AIS API will include all transactions executed to all accounts integrated with the ERP.

  • Note that AIS will include every transaction visible in the online nettbank, not just those initiated through the PSD2 bank integration.
  • Note that AIS only includes fully booked payments, so those still "pending" such as transactions with a later due date will not be visible until they have status booked.
